UNIVERSITIES OF LOUISIANA CELEBRATE FIRST REGINALD F. LEWIS SCHOLARS PROGRAM GRADUATE

The Universities of Louisiana proudly announce the first聽Reginald F. Lewis Scholars program graduate, Earnest Wyatt, who earned his Bachelor of Science degree in psychology at the University of Louisiana Monroe during this weekend鈥檚 fall commencement exercises.聽

鈥淲e are thrilled to witness this historic achievement from Earnest and milestone for the Scholars program,鈥 said Dr. Claire Norris, program director. 鈥淓arnest exemplifies the dedication and resilience that define our Scholars, and his success reinforces our commitment to empowering these exceptional young men.鈥澛

Wyatt was named to the inaugural cohort of Reginald F. Lewis Scholars in 2021. This exclusive program selects two outstanding students from each University of 亚洲自慰视频 member institution annually, resulting in a total of 18 Scholars each year.聽

鈥淣o matter what the world defines you as, believe in yourself, keep trying, keep pushing, and never quit,鈥 Wyatt said.聽聽

Wyatt received special accolades during the ceremony when the university鈥檚 provost, Mark Arant, asked him to stand and congratulated him for completing the Reginald F. Lewis Scholars program. 聽

The Reginald F. Lewis Scholars program is dedicated to enhancing the collegiate experience for Black male students. With a commitment to fostering academic excellence, the program offers a comprehensive support system, including educational initiatives, mentorship opportunities, and co-curricular experiences aimed at improving overall outcomes.聽
